Wonderful Family Gathering Place
Jenny C from Salem, OR stayed 3 days in November, 2017
“Owlhaven was the perfect place for our family Thanksgiving gathering. The kitchen was well stocked for a holiday meal, the views of the oceans and sunsets from the wall of windows were amazing, and the bedrooms were very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed putting together a puzzle and playing games. Some of us drove 30 min south to the Heceta lighthouse and toured it. Spectacular ocean vistas and a nice little hike. There were two washers and two dryers which was really nice given there were 14 of us staying there. The house was wonderful for kids and our boys enjoyed long games of hide and seek. I would highly recommend this rental home and would definitely stay there again.”
Wonderful Waldport House

“Owlhaven is a beautiful home, built with care and wise planning to include your whole family. The pirate themed family room with built in bunks is a very smart use of space. The chair lift and roll in shower makes it easy for people with disabilities to stay. (I have never seen a vacation rental that was accessible before, it is so important for so many families). The kitchen is loaded with all the things you need to cook family meals and dishes for everyone. The living room is a gathering spot with breathtaking views of the ocean. You can almost see the curve in the earth from this high view. We stayed for a full week, didn’t want to leave.”
Wonderful, beautiful, waterfront location for a big family

“A beautiful, comfortable home with every thoughtful amenity, Owlhaven is perfect for large, multigeneration families. We had a fantastic time there — my nine-yr-old cousin was as happy as my 82-yr-old uncle. There were spaces for being together or curling up with a book. The beach was a short walk away. We’d come back in a heartbeat.”

Beautiful Coastal Retreat

“We had 3 families combined into this beautiful vacation rental and there was plenty of room for everyone. It ‘s a lovely home and it is well-decorated. The layout of the home encourages visiting with each other. The beach is a really short drive and it reminds me of a Nantucket beach. There’s a grocery store close by and a quaint downtown. We are hoping to make this an annual trip.”
Forced Family Fun 2017
A guest from Eugene, OR stayed 3 days ending in August, 2017
“This house was so comfortable! We had ages 1-65 and everyone was happy. The kitchen was amazing for cooking and entertaining. Everything was clean and up to date. The rental agents were so friendly and fun they set the tone for the vacation. Our only regret was that our stay was too short!”

Great place to gather with family. Plenty of space for everyone. well stocked kitchen with serving and baking tools, and plenty of space for everyone to have dinner together. Great collections of movies for the kids to watch downstairs.
Incredible Birthday Weekend
“The place exceeded our expectations. Each room was very well thought out. The kitchen setup was our favorite place for everyone to hang out. We couldn’t have asked for a better rental to celebrate my partners birthday. Everyone wanted to stay longer than we had booked the house for. We definitely plan to stay here again.”
“Wonderful large house with all the amenities. Great view, wonderful atmosphere, close enough to beach, beautifully arranged. Manager very warm and helpful. We will go again.”
Amazingly Beautiful, Perfect for the Large Family!
“Owlhaven is the loveliest vacation home we have ever stayed in. The layout and decor are functional and beautiful. The beach nearby is just beautiful and the light and views from the main living area are gorgeous. Our large family of 11 plus my sister and my husband’s parents all stayed here and there was plenty of room for all of us, plus some! The three master suites with bathrooms are great if you have grandparents or another couple along.
We have LOTS of teenagers and it was so nice that they could watch a movie downstairs at night while we enjoyed some quiet upstairs, or our younger kids could watch a movie while we played games with the teens. Cooking and dining together was easy and enjoyable with the large kitchen, island, and all the utensils, pots, and appliances you would ever need.
There were some fun shops and beaches in the surrounding towns. We enjoyed going south to Waldport to eat at the pizza place and the local Chinese restaurant. Both were family friendly and affordable. Also south, we enjoyed Devil’s Churn to watch the ocean spray. We highly recommend Owlhaven! You won’t be disappointed.”

“This place is a brand new house that is over the top with finishes, yet it is so peaceful and inviting. It’s not a remodel or updated house, but a brand spanking new place. Downstairs there is a nice gathering room with a variety of bedrooms off of it. Two of the suites down stairs are King bed size with their own private bathroom. These two suites have entrances/exits that go out to the side yard with a hot tub. There are two other rooms that have queen beds. Right in the downstairs gathering ares are two sets of bunkbeds that look like you are sleeping in a ship. The kids had so much fun sleeping here!!!!
There is a laundry room with 2 sets of washer and dryers there for those large gatherings like we had. Such a nice feature. Heading upstairs there is a cool stair chair to use if someone needed for going up and down for health reasons. The stairs are wide enough it isn’t in the way for multiple people using the stairs at the same time.
The best way to describe upstairs is FANTASTIC!!!! There are two walls that are almost solid windows with great views of the ocean, not just a little peak, but full on you can see the ocean type views. The living room area sits 8+ people next to a fireplace, if needed, in a very warm and inviting area. Small windows open up allowing you to hear the ocean.
The dining area and kitchen are a chefs dream. The main table sit 10 and there is a bar against the windows that sits another six. The kitchen is wide and spacious with 2 dishwashers, lots of counter spaces and a island with the sink built into it. The kitchen is stocked with all the pots and pans, plenty of dinnerware, and all the gadgets needed for cooking almost any meal. The entire area upstairs feels very open with being able to see everyone at all angles.
There is a large deck off the dining area with picnic table and a small bbq for enjoying sitting outside and enjoying the sound of the ocean. You can take the stairs down to the side yard and the hot tub for relaxing.
There is a third King suite upstairs that is well oversized for any need. Windows off the back of the house gives you a mountain view with a private deck in which has views of the bridge. This room is wheel chair, handicap accessible with dual sinks, and a walk in shower. The shower is the ‘shower of showers’. It offers multiple spray heads and body jets to clean all spaces on the body. A nice size closet, dresser, and chaise rounds out the room.
Every part of this house screams luxury but inviting peaceful comfort. It is a top notch house that was thought out very well when they built it. The layout showcases the openness to the ocean upstairs, while downstairs caters sleeping areas. There are tv’s in all the main areas as well as all the suites. I cannot stress enough how warm and inviting the house feels with being luxurious. We had 15 in the house and at no point did it ever feel crowded or felt like anyone was on top of anyone else.”
